Charles Leclerc's association with the Mission Winnow branding on his racing suit and Ferrari's cars began in 2019, following his promotion to Scuderia Ferrari. Mission Winnow, an initiative by Philip Morris International (PMI), appeared prominently on Ferrari's livery and team name during that season. However, due to regulatory challenges and controversies surrounding tobacco advertising, Ferrari intermittently removed the Mission Winnow branding in certain races and regions. For instance, the branding was absent during the 2019 Australian Grand Prix and the 2019 Canadian Grand Prix.
In December 2021, Ferrari officially dropped the MW ttitle sponsorship, reverting to the name Scuderia Ferrari. Despite this change, discussions about continuing the partnership in other forms persisted. By the 2022 season, the MW branding was no longer featured on Ferrari's cars or Leclerc's racing suit.
